Finding the Last Restore Date of a Backup in SQL Server

In SQL Server, in some cases you may want to find the last restore date of the backup.

You can easily do this using the code below.

SELECT [d].[name] AS [Database],
       [d].[create_date],
       [d].[compatibility_level],
       rh.restore_date,
       rh.restore_history_id,
       rh.restore_type
FROM master.sys.databases d
    LEFT OUTER JOIN msdb.dbo.[restorehistory] rh
        ON rh.[destination_database_name] = d.name
ORDER BY [Database],
         restore_history_id;

When you run the above code, you will see a result similar to the one below.

As you can see, the last restore date has been seen for the databases.
