Last Day of Previous Month in SQL Server

In this article, I will provide information about the last day of the previous month in SQL Server.

In SQL Server, in some cases you may want to know the last day of the previous month.

You can easily do this using the code below.

SELECT 'Last Day of Previous Month' AS 'ColumnName',
       CONVERT(VARCHAR(10), DATEADD(dd, - (DAY(GETDATE())), GETDATE()), 104) AS LastDayofPreviousMonth;

When you run the above query, you will see a result similar to the one below.

As you can see, the last day of the previous month has been updated in SQL Server.
