Not Showing Time Expression in Date Information in SQL Server

In this article, I will try to give information about not showing the time expression in the date information in SQL Server.

In SQL Server, in some cases, you may want to not show the time expression in the date information.

You can easily do this using the code below.

SELECT TodayDateDiff = DATEADD(D, DATEDIFF(D, 0, GETDATE()), 0)
SELECT TodayDate= CAST(CAST(GETDATE() AS DATE) AS DATETIME)
SELECT TodayCast= CAST(CAST(GETDATE() AS VARCHAR(11)) AS DATETIME)
SELECT TodayConvert = CONVERT(DATETIME, CAST(GETDATE() AS VARCHAR(11)), 120)

When you run the above code block, you will see the following result.

As you can see, the time expression in the date information is not displayed. All four queries will yield similar results.
