Calculating Number of Tables in SQL Server

Hello to everyone,

In this article, I will try to give information about how to calculate the number of tables in the database in SQL Server.

In SQL Server, in some cases you may want to know how many tables you have in the database.

You can easily calculate this process using the code below.

SELECT COUNT(*) AS CountNumberofTables
FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.TABLES
WHERE TABLE_TYPE = 'base table';

When you run the above code, you will see a result similar to the one below. This result may vary depending on the number of tables in your database.

I made my transactions using the Northwind database.
