Calculating the Sum of All Columns in the Database in SQL Server

Hello to everyone,

In this article, I will try to give information about calculating the sum of all columns in the database in SQL Server.

In SQL Server, in some cases, you may want to calculate the sum of all columns in the database.

You can easily do this using the code below.

SELECT SUM(KolonSayisi) AS ToplamKolonSayisi
FROM
(
    SELECT t.name AS TabloAd,
           COUNT(c.name) KolonSayisi
    FROM sys.tables t
        INNER JOIN sys.columns c
            ON t.object_id = c.object_id
    GROUP BY t.name
) AS TumTablolar;

When you run the above code, you will see a result similar to the one below.
