Listing All Nullable Columns in Database in SQL Server

In this article, I will try to give information about listing all Nullable columns in the database in SQL Server.

In SQL Server, in some cases you may want to list all Nullable columns in the database.

You can easily do this using the code below.

SELECT SCHEMA_NAME(t.schema_id) AS SchemaName,
       t.name AS TableName,
       c.name AS ColumnName,
       ty.name AS DataType,
       c.max_length MaxLength,
       c.precision [Precision]
FROM sys.tables AS t
    INNER JOIN sys.columns AS c
        ON t.object_id = c.object_id
    LEFT JOIN sys.types AS ty
        ON c.user_type_id = ty.user_type_id
WHERE c.is_nullable = 1
ORDER BY SchemaName,
         TableName,
         ColumnName;

When you run the above code, you will see a result similar to the one below.

As you can see, all Nullable columns in the database are listed.
